France - Covid-19: compulsory quarantine to enter France extended to Bahrain, Colombia, Costa Rica and Uruguay

Brazil, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey and Pakistan are already affected by this measure.


The mandatory quarantine to enter France has been extended to Bahrain, Colombia, Costa Rica and Uruguay, the government announced on Friday May 14. These four countries are added to the list of states already affected by this quarantine upon arrival in France: India, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, South Africa, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey and Pakistan. The spread of Covid-19 "in some countries, and in particular of several variants of interest" raises "fears of a risk of increased transmissibility or vaccine escape," the executive said in a statement.
